Shop Manager job description

Shop Budget and Business results:

• Achieve monthly sales targets set by Avec Les Filles
• Maintain staffing levels to deliver exceptional customer service and still adhering to budget goals
• Develop strategies to grow the business, leverage client loyalty and product knowledge and services

People Development/Human Resources

• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting and onboarding of talent
• Maintain talent network and develop bench strength
• Engage in monthly performance reviews with all team members
• Develop and maintain relationships with all key business partners at Macy’s and Avec Les Filles

Training:

• Ability to host product knowledge seminars

• Stress the importance of customer relationships with the associates and track and analyze monthly KPI’s and progress
• Work with the team on selling-best practices

Merchandising/Visual:

• Ensure shop adheres to the company standards for visual presentation, signage, cleanliness and organization
• Responsible for regular maintenance for the mannequins and other visual props and communicating any needs to head of visual when applicable.
• Manager inventory levels and stock replenishment

Operations:

• Review store policies/procedures on a regular basis and ensure that staff adheres to them
• Ensure the stockroom is set up according to Macy’s standards
• Secure all merchandise according to Macy’s standards
• Responsible for accounting and processing all inbound freight
• Execute physical inventory as directed by ALF

Storyteller/Sales Associate- FT/PT

Responsibility:

• Maintain good product knowledge and provide excellent customer service
• Understand current products, trends and collections ensuring that customers are informed and aware
• Be a brand ambassador at all times
• Maintain high standards of merchandise and product presentation
• Be aware of daily & monthly sales targets set by the shop manager
• Ensure all polices and procedures are understood
• Personal appearance should be in line with company standards
• Carry out additional duties when and where necessary within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year sales experience
• Experience in a customer service role with face to face customer contact
• Ability to adapt to change
• Ability to initiate contact and communication
• Motivated to be a team player and common goal
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
