Retail Advisors are passionate about the Aveda mission, hair, spa, and translating this passion to our guests and students.  The position works with a multidisciplinary team to share beauty, fashion and wellness – all through the power of touch, while also driving sales to meet established goals.


Responsibilities:

·         Manage new lead inquiries by implementing the AIS contact management protocol, which may include multiple attempts through phone, text, and email communication.

·         Book Career Planning Sessions for qualified potential students for all AIS.

·         Provide qualified prospective students with Career Planning Session interviews and informational tours.

·         Identify students to be recommended to the Board of Admissions for acceptance and inform students of their application status utilizing the AIS documented procedures.

·         Introduce potential students to Financial Aid Managers and continue liaising with Financial Aid Manager throughout the Financial Aid process.

·         Work with students to resolve any obstacles prior to enrollment.

·         Track each prospective student’s progress through the application process and facilitate the completion of the enrollment.

·         Track all enrolled students through their first two phases by implementing the AIS new student retention contact protocol, and joining in on any trouble shooting meetings with students and Institute Director/Assistant Director/Educator, etc.

·         Utilize the “Salesforce System” to manage all elements of the life cycle of the lead according to AIS lead management protocol.

·         Ensure all student documentation is filed in accordance with the AIS student filing protocol (applications, reference letters, education documents, etc.) Either “Filebound” or paper files will be used depending on location.

·         Supplement corporate lead generation as required through implementing community/local initiatives.  For example, plan open houses, represent AIS at career fairs and/or industry events and develop relationships with local salons and spas.

·         Make compelling presentations to small and large groups of students.

·         Plan and implement new student mixers two weeks before every class start

·         Confirm attendees for orientation and participate in orientation as directed by Institute Director.

·         Complete daily and weekly reports according to the templates provided.

·         Maintain spreadsheet of all new class starts and report on a weekly basis to project class start numbers.

·         Track progress on monthly goals of: calls, tours booked, application collections and enrollments, and adjust game plan accordingly to ensure goals are met.

·         Attend any required training for Admissions, which may involve travel.

·         May perform other duties as required.


General Requirements:

·         Due to our commitment to the environment, a strong alignment to the Aveda mission is essential.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in public speaking.

·         Exceptional organizational skills.

·         Ability to attend and satisfactorily complete all company education as required.

·         Ability to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events as needed.

·         Computer experience including Excel, Word and Outlook.

·         Internet savvy.

·         Detail oriented.
