By prioritizing your relationship with God during fasting and prayer, you learn how to effectively armor up for daily spiritual battles (ref. Ephesians 6:10-20). This journey is not just about what happens during the 21 days; it's to prepare you for the days that will follow...which includes all the days of your life, not just in this year. We find supernatural strength when we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Prepare yourself for daily worship with God. Be real with Him; be honest and vulnerable. Lay down all the doubt, worry, and sinful desires and put them on the altar you create space for in your home. Nothing can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:31-39), but struggles with certain things such as guilt, shame, and even anger can make it hard to be in His presence. Let it all go, give it to God, and press into Him. Praise God for who He is (our Savior, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, our....Prince...of...Peace).
