Sean Contessa and Maria Simone, two college interns expecting to complete their college schoolwork and return home for the summer, now have their hands full in a way in which few others can relate. They find themselves lost in the Peruvian Jungle alone and in charge of 12 middle school and elementary school age children who have just survived a harrowing plane crash that has taken the lives of the plane's crew, adult chaperones, and even a few of the less fortunate children. These are not just any ordinary children. They are part of an elite private school choir who is made up primarily of children from very wealthy families. These city children of privilege, who are used to enjoying the benefits of the good life must now learn to live in a sub-civilized environment and survive directly amidst the harsh elements of the jungle. They must learn to develop skills only a few in the world have mastered and must do so largely by trial and error or risk dying untimely deaths alone in this savage environment. Not only must these children overcome the obvious obstacles, many soon realize that they have their own personal challenges to overcome as they fight themselves from within and must conquer their own personal demons. The children soon evolve from their aristocratic city mindset into a savvy band of brothers and sisters capable of protecting themselves from the fiercest beasts that the jungle has to offer. By contrast they also make friends and even learn to frolic with the more playful of the jungle inhabitants. The group at first survives by using the shell of the aircraft as shelter, and by living off the land for many long months with no hint of rescue. Fortunately for their sanity, not everything in the jungle is dry seriousness, however. After all they are children and these kids sometimes find fun and games in the strangest of places and seem to excel at making the best of things even in the worst of circumstances. Be a witness to these remarkable children and
