It is true that nowadays children are not immune to violence and brutality because they are brought into our homes via video games, television, music videos, films, etc. But this is not a reason to use gory language when talking about violence and terrorism to children. In my book, I have sugar-coated the reality while explaining terrorism, thus avoiding lapsing into alarmism and pessimism. I tell a tale of hope; instead of seeing a glass half empty, I choose to see a glass half full. I'm explaining terrorism to children without traumatizing them. This is an illustrated story containing clean pictures. The terrorist in this story is someone who wants to impose his beliefs on others and gets angry when they are rejected. He is someone who hates democracy and dialogue, someone with no respect for other people's convictions and beliefs.
