Except he learns it's harder than he thought, especially when he keeps getting distracted by another student named Avra that he adores to hate.
Avra Nassaki's village was destroyed by Hawkers, and her family killed, making her next in line in the Infernal Matriarchy. With her life in danger, she flees to the upper realm and disguises herself as a fae. But with Hawkers closing in, she realizes she's not as safe as she previously thought. Her only choice is to seek the help of the one Shadow fae she despises, the one who holds perhaps as many secrets as she does herself.
