Aldo Vianello was born in 1937 in Pellestrina, a fishing village in the Venetian lagoon. He has continued to live and write in Venice, the inspiration for many of his poems, and has published nineteen books.
Richard Burns (Berengarten) lived in Venice from 1964-6. He is the author of many books of poetry and lives in Cambridge.
Peter Jay founded Anvil Press in 1968. He has translated a variety of ancient and modern poets.
Linda Lappin is an American writer and translator who holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She has lived in Italy since 1978.
