The coming Great Tribulation described in the Book of Revelation will be the revenge of Edomite Jews on the Christians, and Christ, for what they perceive to be 2,000 years of persecution. This perception is flawed, as no true follower of Jesus Christ harmed anyone. However, various groups have killed millions in the name of Christ. Some Protestants have erroneously embraced the Dominionist theology that says the Church must subdue its enemies in the flesh. The Jews equate all Christians with Catholicism. Therefore, the Tribulation will be upon the true Church who is and has been entirely innocent. That is no great marvel since her founder, Jesus Christ, was the most innocent of all and He was murdered. The Church is in great need of purification. However, woe to those who would harm a hair of her head! God, Himself, will avenge every drop of blood, and that 1,000 fold. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
