Synopsis:
Amanda returns home to Edgartown following the sudden death of her parents. A successful lawyer, she reestablishes herself in her childhood home in a town that holds both familiarity and dark secrets. Seeing a light on at her neighbor's home, Amanda goes to check on it, leading her down a dangerous path involving a string of crimes that shake her tight-knit community to its core. Amanda finds herself in the midst of years of home invasions, murder, and grand theft, ending in a hostage situation and a shoot-out.
Autobiography
: I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, the youngest of five children-and probably the only one they really wanted. My siblings were 6 to 15 years older than me.
While most babies say "mama" or "dada" first, mine was "huh?"-a clue to the nerve deafness my parents quickly discovered. That hearing loss helped shape who I am. My sons knew my infamous "death look," and it seems my oldest great-granddaughter has inherited it. Sadly, she, along with her mother, brother, aunt, and grandfather, also inherited the same hearing loss.
I became a mother at 16, determined to build a life my children could be proud of. Good at math, I pursued accounting and built a 60-year career-30of those years running my own business.
Bob and I have been married for 39 years, blending our families so seamlessly that today, you'd never know whose child is whose. Together, we're proud of our four sons, eight grandchildren, and 14 brilliant, adorable great-grandchildren.
We live in a home nestled between the Paci c Ocean and pristine Willapa Bay. I love reading, cooking, and entertaining. Life with Bob is peaceful and full-every day is something to be grateful for.
