American Whoreson is the first of two books. This book is historical fiction placing fictional characters in the midst of actual, documented, historical events. It focuses on the life of the son of a whore. He is White, but his lack of a birthright denies him the entitlements of being White. He will find himself on the wrong side of history several times. This book takes place between 1884 and 1890, ending with the massacre at Wounded Knee.
The second book, American Whoreson -The Builder, is historical speculative fiction portraying fictional people in authentic and realistic fictional settings with some speculation about alternative outcomes had minor changes to actual events occurred. This book asks, "What if one thing had gone differently?" It focuses on the construction of the Addison Canal in Titusville, Florida. It is placed from 1910 to 1915. The specific question being asked is what would have happened had the canal been finished.
The books include descriptions of industrial accidents involving injury and death, racism and racist language, foul language, sexism, and sexist discrimination.
In this current age of political revisionism and White-washing history, lest any modern revisionist accuse me of falsifying history as they are doing, a list of sources used in my research for this novel is available on my website stagewalkerenterprises. The references are included for further study and do not constitute an endorsement.
This work is unsuitable for evangelicals, MAGA, Trump supporters, or younger teens. CRT Trigger Warning!
