Grant Sparks works in an office beside Kelli's. He is used to peace and quiet, which he feels is necessary for his job. Kelli's moving into the next office has disrupted that atmosphere.
Everything seems to be going well until the night Kelli is working at a wedding reception. Grant is at the event as well as his distant cousin, Aaron Blalock. Aaron is instantly interested in Kelli. Kelli wants nothing to do with Aaron, so Grant runs interference to keep Aaron away from her. Aaron's attraction to Kelli turns into obsession and stalking. Eventually, Aaron's delusions that Kelli is in love with him strengthen to the point that he feels he is competing with Grant for her affection. Grant and Kelli find themselves in danger from Aaron's increasingly aggressive behavior.
The police step in and devise a plan to protect Kelli, but will it work? It becomes a test of Kelli's strength and bravery to step out of her comfort zone and help apprehend a dangerous man.
