Saniyah has never known what it felt like to fly in the sky. She was born with only one wing and has never felt beautiful because of her disability. All her life feeling alone and unworthy, she sought out on an adventure seeking help from different animals to provide her with the whereabouts of a beautiful butterfly named Shaquan in hopes of being accepted and feeling beautiful within.
As Saniyah travels the land, she comes across many different animals who provided her with directions to find the beautiful butterfly Shaquan but to her dismay, Saniyah faces a challenge along her journey that causes her to lose hope in ever meeting Shaquan.
In the end, Saniyah encountered the beautiful _butterfly Shaquan who was born with a disability of her own but all Saniyah saw was a beautiful butterfly before her. Saniyah learns that although Shaquan· suffered the same mental and emotional anguish as her for being born different, she overcame her difficult experiences by learning to embrace her beautiful imperfections.
