"Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni's first English-language film has become a classic of European art movies of the 1960s. A fashion photographer (David Hemmings) shoots, parties, and drugs his way through London in the 1960s, until one night he stumbles upon a couple embracing in a park. Naturally, he photographs them, but the woman in the pictures (Vanessa Redgrave) spots him and demands that he hand over the film. He refuses, and when he develops it later on, he sees what he thinks is a figure pointing a gun at her partner. Sure enough, he finds the man's body in the park the next morning, although by the next day, it has disappeared, and the photographer himself is in danger. This landmark ""art"" movie made its mark in the 1960s through both its puzzling story and its setting in the swinging party scene of 1960s London. It was later echoed by both Francis Ford Coppola in The Conversation (1974) and Brian De Palma in Blow Out (1981)."
