An Academy Award-winning special effects artist, Johnson was originally considered by Lucas for the role of effects supervisor on A New Hope, but Johnson declined due to previous commitments. He was free, however, to work on The Empire Strikes Back, where he and the rest of the effects crew were recognized with a Special Achievement Academy Award in 1981. Johnson also won an Academy Award for his work on the 1979 film Alien. This hand-signed card is authenticated by Beckett and features a scene from the iconic franchise.
