Clean Science Clean Formula We’ve developed a strict set of clean standards and have been working over the last few years to eliminate 51 potentially-harmful ingredients from our existing formulas. For our Brightening Dual-Phase Peel, we’ve added Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate in the Step 1 Exfoliator. It is more stable within this type of formulation and therefore enhances efficacy. Combined with Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and two Vitamin C derivatives in our Step 2 Liquid Activator, this formula unlocks skin’s natural radiance. It is formulated without phthalates, parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, petroleum, urea, and colorants. Sustainable Packaging In order to leave this planet in better shape than it was when we found it, we are also committing to sustainable packaging—less plastic, less waste. For our Brightening Dual-Phase Peel, the jar cap color has been updated to increase recyclability. We removed the metalized silver on the cap and created a marble effect that allows for the use of PCR (post-consumer recycled) material. For the bottle and dropper, due to the nature of the components, only the bottle can be recycled. We will continue to explore recyclable options for the dropper that provide a premium experience for our customers. How to Use Smooth Step 1 over your face, avoiding the eye area. Massage gently for up to three minutes. Drop two to three droppers full of Step 2 into your hands, then massage onto your face, over Step 1. As Step 2 is applied, a warming sensation may occur, indicating activation. After one minute, rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use weekly. Not suitable for sensitive or damaged skin.
