Preventing and addressing slavery is not as simple as outlawing it. Slavery has been a business of mankind for millennia. As long as it is favorable, governments will develop laws supporting it; when they do not have benefits, they will do the same to abolish it. Unquestionably, total abolition is impossible in the next few years. Although it had already been practiced for more than 4000 years before being legalized, it is only in the 21st century that the vast majority of governments worldwide decided to remove it from their laws and regulations.
