The Pocket Library of Spiritual Wisdom is an exciting new book series of original contributions by Rudolf Steiner to human knowledge from metaphysical dimensions of reality normally hidden from everyday consciousness. With his philosophical and scientific training, Steiner brought a new systematic discipline to the field of spiritual research, as well as fully conscious methods and comprehensive results. These books highlight samples of his work with excerpts from his many talks and writings on some of the most fascinating themes in contemporary spiritual research. They are easy-to-read, accessible texts with helpful introductions, commentary, and notes.
This Volume discusses:
- The Mystery of Christian Rosenkreutz
- The Working of Christian Rosenkreutz
- Today and in the Past
- Christian Rosenkreutz as the Guardian of Modern Knowledge
- From Ancient to Modern in Rosicrucian Teachings
- Christian Rosenkreutz at the Chymical Wedding
- The Cosmic Mission of Christian Rosenkreutz
- The Question of Rosicrucian Literature
Author Biography: Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, particularly known for his work on Goethe's scientific writings. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he began to develop his earlier philosophical principles into an approach to methodical research of psychological and spiritual phenomena. His multifaceted genius has led to innovative and holistic approaches in medicine, philosophy, religion, education (Waldorf schools), special education (the Camphill movement), economics, agriculture (biodynamics), science, architecture, and the arts(drama, speech and eurythmy). In 1924 he founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which has branches throughout the world.
