Even though I was raised in church, I was not taught a lot about tithing. I knew my parents tithed, but I didn't really know the reasons.It was not until I was in my 30's, living in Macon, Georgia, that I began to hear about the benefits of tithing.At the same time, I started a new job at a church across town. A big part of my job was to enter the contribution information into the computer system each week.....and I began to notice a pattern. I had "inside information" about those that tithed, those that gave occasionally, and those that did not give. There was a huge difference in the lives, the lifestyles, the attitudes, and the level of faith in the tithers versus the non-tithers!This, along with the teaching I was hearing at the church I attended, began to convince me that I needed to tithe! There were so many areas in my life where I had desired change for years, but it never seemed to happen, until I began tithing consistently! Tithing was the key! Tithing was an outward demonstration of trust. It changed my life.This is the story of my tithing journey.
