A thumbnail sketch of Cambodian Church History in chronological order, this book is for those who are interested in knowing about the plight of the Evangelical Church in Cambodia. It especially focuses on the last forty years. This sketch of God's missional people in Cambodia is weaved around the biographies of those living in Cambodia, some of those who risked and sacrificed for the sake of the Gospel.Much of this story is told within the recent historical context of:– occupation,– oppression,– genocide,– regional and civil war. This book also serves as a basic record of some significant events in the history of Christian mission in Cambodia for the Cambodian Christian community. Not meant to be all inclusive or exhaustive, or to provide strategies for missions, "Cry of the Gecko" simply shows how God used broken vessels, Cambodian and expat alike, to bear witness to His Kingdom.
