The series, "Daisy the Service Dog" is an educational and witty tale of a real-life service dog. The first book in the series is titled with the series name, "Daisy the Service Dog". This first book is informational telling what a service dog is and is not, what a handler is, what they do for their handlers, how they behave and should not behave, and places that they can go.
The following books show a day in the life of Daisy and her handler which can sometimes be quite funny at times. With few exceptions, all events really happened.
The book series shows the good and the challenging parts of being a service dog as narrated by Daisy herself. Most times, Daisy is good at following commands, but sometimes she has a bad day and forgets. The series walks you through a service dog's various jobs, how they should behave in public, and how they and their handlers should be treated.
Additionally, besides being educational, the series helps to contribute to the atmosphere of inclusiveness and understanding of those with disabilities.
