It is a time of reconciliation and resurgence, as the various races try to learn mutual respect and rebuild after the Great Conflict instigated by ambitious dark elves. Sadly, there are still profiteers and yet others consumed by lingering hatreds. A dark elf, Nala, conceived during the Conflict and raised by elf healers approaches maidenhood in this supposed time of peace. Prejudices and personal ambitions come to the fore in the town in which she lives, along with false accusations. Forced to flee into a world ostensibly manipulated by evildoers and slavers, Nala must grow her latent powers to defend herself. Can an innocent fourteen-year-old outwit her unknown adversaries and gain revenge for the murder of her adopted father?
