This book is simply about the design and construction of automatic hand dryer with varying temperature display. This project is focused on the design and construction of an automatic hand dryer system, with a temperature display. During the design proteus 8 professional software was employed to simulate the project work. At the cause of implementing this project work, a Top-down methodology was used. AT89S52 microcontroller was used to coordinate other components, like the temperature sensor and seven-segment display. The Hand dryer system uses an LM35 linear temperature sensor to acquire temperature readings from the heating element that produces hot air. Also, a seven-segment display was used in the construction to display the readings from the Temperature IC, AC blower to push the hot air through a vent, one SRD-12VDC-SL-C electromagnetic relay for switching the hand dryer ON/OFF, one DSN-FIR800 Passive inferred sensors for detecting the objects such as the human hand and the power unit for power distribution of the entire project system. After assembling and testing the system, it was found to be working perfectly well.
