Nineteen-year-old Skyla-Grensfei will do anything to recover her brother Alexander, who vanished without a trace in the midst of civil war two years ago. She enlists the help of her two friends Zephyr and Madge before taking the plunge into the human world, armed only with the hope of finding Csenfeisna's heroes still alive. They soon befriend a human girl named Halley who longs to find answers for her strange connection to faerie magic. Anxious to help, the trio helps Halley sprout her own pair of wings. Halley's heightened powers fascinate and inspire her newfound friends, but the strong magic causes an enchanted uproar and exposes faeries for all of Earth to see. Human beings struggle to come to grips with the existence of mythical fae and Earth erupts into chaos.
