This rhyming picture book is for children ages 10-12, grades fourth to sixth grade, but can be enjoyed by children of all ages. This is a rhyming picture book of carnivorous plants, and may be used as a guessing game that aids in children’s cognitive and phonetic development. Clues are given about carnivorous plants using rhyming descriptions. After the clues are read, children are shown four pictures of different carnivorous plants, including the correct plant. Some may guess correctly without seeing the four choices. Base on the simple rhyming clues that are given, children are asked to pick the plant that they believe is being described. Words to reinforce the clues are shaded in colors. Teachers and parents may add their own clues as well.
