Piccolo sneaks into the Red Ribbon Army's secret base and learns of their plan to try and conquer the world again. This time, they have Dr. Hedo-a naive super genius and grandson of Dr. Gero-on their side, and have deceived him into helping them build androids. One of these androids is Cell Max, a giant, even-more-destructive version of the original Cell. They've also managed to convince the gullible scientist that they are the good guys trying to save the world, and that Capsule Corp., Goku, and everyone who fought against them all those years ago are the actual bad guys. And what better way to start thinning the evil crop than by kidnapping Gohan's daughter Pan to lure him out and destroy him?! About the Author Akira Toriyama is celebrated globally for his whimsical and inventive storytelling, coupled with a unique and humorous art style. He made a significant impact on the manga industry in 1980 with his hit series Dr. Slump. Following that success, his iconic series Dragon Ball, known in the U.S. as Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, captivated audiences from 1984 to 1995 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Beyond manga, Toriyama has contributed to video game design for titles like Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Tobal No. 1, and Blue Dragon. His more recent works include COWA!, Kajika, Sand Land, Neko Majin, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, and a children's book titled Toccio the Angel, and he resides in Japan with his family. Toyotarou is responsible for the manga adaptation of the 2015 film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, which was based on the Dragon Ball Z anime. Additionally, he created the spin-off series Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, which first appeared in V-Jump in Japan in November 2012.
