Earnestly Seeking God: A Study of Psalm 63 is an 8-week group study that can also be used for individual study. Lessons are divided into 5 days of material that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete each day. The daily lesson material is divided into three parts. First, questions for personal reflection are provided to introduce the topic and help study participants recognize the relevance of God's Word. Second, the Bible study section provides commentary and questions for a line-by-line study of the psalm. Additional Scriptures are used to support the teachings of the psalm and add insight to the study from a Christian perspective. Third, each lesson ends with a "Make It Real" section to encourage students to apply lessons to daily life. The first suggestion contains topics and questions for journaling as a way of spending personal time with God. The second suggestion is an activity that can make the Bible lesson become a real and active part of life. It is not a requirement for students to answer all questions. The goal of this study is to draw participants into a closer, more personal relationship with God as they recognize their need for Him and the protection and love He provides. (Teacher outlines will be published to assist in planning lessons that will cover highlights of the material and provide additional teaching points.)
