When flesh-eating insects appear in the Cotswolds a week after the mysterious destruction of the Pyramids of Giza, Jack Gibson and Denzil Reid's dreary team-building week takes a deadly turn.
They don't think their drunken night in the hotel bar can get any worse after being arrested for a crime they didn't commit. Unfortunately, salvation comes in the form of murderous bugs, forcing staff and guests to fight for their lives. While fleeing the carnage with their boss Lucy, they crash into a car containing an ancient artefact from beyond the stars, throwing them into the heart of an intergalactic rebellion.
As Jack and his friends ricochet from one terrifying situation to another, they must unravel the mystery that surrounds them. What are the strange mutant creatures? What is the artefact? And who, if anyone, can they trust?
