Enduring One's Own Mind is a new book of poetry from Robert Benefiel. Capping off the last of 6 books of new material to be released in 2017, this book covers the more experimental work of the author. Through an abstracted and sometimes direct view these poems show us how things can become much deeper without becoming forced or farce. Whether talking about rats in heaven, homesteading, understanding the limits of love, or sitting among the rubble of a bombed out city listening to records, each poem becomes a statement unto itself. Considered prolific and challenging, while also being fresh and accessible, Robert Benefiel delivers yet another palpable and tangible read to his audience.
