This US Army Corps of Engineers publication, Engineering Manual EM 110-2-2107 Design of Hydraulic Steel Structures August 2022, prescribes guidance for the design of Hydraulic Steel Structures (HSS) by load and resistance factor design (LRFD). This includes design of new structures, replacement, rehabilitation, and repair. Due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) unique structures and their associated risks, criteria in this manual may exceed industry requirements. The criteria in this manual are minimum USACE requirements. These criteria may be exceeded by the designer to enhance resiliency as risk and economics dictate.
