Die uber dieses kleine Jesusbuch hinaus ausgewahlten, mit einer Ausnahme schon fruher an verschiedenen Orten gedruckten Aufsatze umspannen den weiten Zeitraum von der Berliner Antrittsvorlesung 1976 bis in das Jahr 2016. Sie sind samtlich von bleibendem Interesse und haben ihre Gultigkeit und Aktualitat nicht eingebusst. English summary: The idea for this volume of essays and the selection of contributions may be traced back to the author himself, who died in 2022. Essentially he was concerned with a previously unpublished guide, primarily for undergraduate students, to provide orientation on the subject of Jesus and His World, the Gospels and the Echo in His People, which now makes up Chapters I-III of the present volume. The essays selected beyond this small book on Jesus, which, with one exception, have already been printed in various places, span the long period from the inaugural lecture in Berlin in 1976 up to 2016. They are all of lasting interest and have not lost any validity and topicality.
