Ronnie Pridmore had a passion and a talent for baseball. Since a child, he planned on baseball stardom to take him far away from the doldrums of life in the hard-scrabble world of Southern cotton mills in the 1960s. A career ending shoulder injury ended his baseball dream and tragedy filled his young life. After his best friend was killed in Vietnam, Pridmore vowed he would not avoid military duty and he would not have on his conscious another family having to face the loss of a son, a brother, a lifelong friend; because he took the easy way out of a war that could not be won. Ronnie the Rocket was a natural leader and the military seemed to provide some of the things he was missing. Neither the army nor the Vietnam War prepared him to become one of America's most successful CIA Field Officers and subsequently the father of a group U.S. Department of Defense anti-terrorist superstars. Being the titular father of the a family of unholy ghosts was beyond his life expectations.
