Lieutenant Jack Bergman is back to work after recovering from a near fatal gunshot wound several months before. His return to work is complicated by the fact that he feels someone is following him and the introduction of a new detective at Midtown that could prove to be extremely problematic for him. When a local reporter is murdered, the motive could reveal an intricate conspiracy that, if true, could rock the city to it's foundation. Could the new detective come between Jack and Stephanie? Is Jack really being followed, or is he simply paranoid from his most recent brush with death? Will Jack and his squad be able to flush out the conspiracy before they cover their tracks again, or will Jack be framed by the conspirators to that the fall?
