German description: Seit Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts ist die Kirchengeschichte ein Element im evangelischen Religionsunterricht. Durch eine historische Analyse von uber 350 Schulbuchern und konzeptionellen didaktischen Entwurfen wird die Entwicklung der Kirchengeschichtsdidaktik von 1770 bis 2020 dargelegt und in drei Typen zusammengefasst. Sie wirft ein neues Licht auf die Geschichte des ev. Religionsunterrichts. Im zweiten Teil der Studie wird die Geltung der drei Typen systematisch uberpruft und eine an Kompetenzen orientierte, praxistaugliche Didaktik (Ziele und Intentionen, Inhalte, Methoden) vorgelegt. English summary: Since the middle of the 18th century, church history has been a part of religious education. Through a historical analysis of over 350 Protestant religious schoolbooks and didactical conceptions, the development of didactics of church history from 1770 to 2020 is presented and summarized in three main didactical types. The description casts a new light on the history of Protestant religious education in the last centuries. In the second part of the study, the validity of the typologies is systematically tested and a practical didactic conception (as a competence model) is proposed.
