If an action indicator appears, press the ? button to perform various actions (moving forward in dungeons, picking up items, etc.). Touching an enemy avatar will initiate battle. Pressing the R button will start Greed Mode, strengthening enemies' awareness of the Dark God and raising the chance of consecutive battles. Battle Flow Battles cycle through repeate rounds “Attack Phases” and “Guard Phases.” In Attack Phase, pressing the corresponding character buttons (? button/× button/? button/? button) will consume AP and initiate attacks, and as long as there is AP available, you can continue to attack. When you run out of AP, the Guard Phase will begin. In Guard Phase, pressing the corresponding character buttons will spend AP to defend. Battles will end by either defeating all enemies or by running away. Additionally, if everyone's HP is reduced to zero in battle, the quest will fail and you will be returned to the world map.
