Very little has been translated and is known today about Romanian sci-fi in the Western world.
Fantastica Magazine Anthology is a collection of representative writers and comics artists from the new generation of Romanian science fiction and fantasy (with all the connected subgenres: horror, magical realism, alternate history, utopia and dystopia, fairy tales...), most of them already featured in the bimonthly Fantastica Magazine published by Cristian PlusArt Publishing House in Craiova, Romania, but also with a few very special guests, writers of Romanian origin living in the United States and Canada, and one Polish writer.
Some writers we included have books available in English, and they are featured in the
Recommended Books
section. If you liked their stories, please feel free to explore their writings further.
The Anthology also includes an Essays section, where a few of the Magazine collaborators share some provoking thoughts on modern literature, philosophy, and technology.
