Love can be a strong emotion to experience.
Trauma surrounding it could be even stronger.
Fear of love holds us back from running towards it.
Yet we spend so much time chasing the feeling that makes our hearts race.
How can we spend so much time yearning for the touch of someone who loves us?
Yet we constantly torture ourselves by convincing our mind that we aren't worthy of that exact thing.
Some would believe we are masochists who enjoy putting ourselves through the pain of loneliness.
When truly, we are simply people who are frightened to be so vulnerable with someone else that they see our weakness.
If they see our problems, they will run away.
That is the mantra we tell ourselves.
None of us have any idea if there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
And even if we did, would we take the chance and step outside?
Love is a risk that a few of us are petrified to take.
