What he hadn't accounted for was Chloe Holmes, his friend's daughter and the company's general counsel, distracting him from his mission.
He'd always felt office romances were a poor choice, and he did not intend to make exceptions. Chloe was just a piece of a bigger puzzle he was brought to solve. But her wit, her intelligence, manage to get under his skin, and his efforts to keep things professional begin to crumble.
