In the third installment of the Glacier Series, Carly is broken beyond repair. In a world now plagued by the evils of Grubarra and the goblins, she struggles to maintain her sanity while growing more and more obsessed with avenging Luke's death. Carly's friends, on the other hand, slowly seem to be forfeiting the fight. The apocalypse allows for a surprisingly luxurious survival. Still, Carly refuses to give up. She urges those around her to participate in a battle to reclaim the goblin conquered world. When this idea fails, she distracts herself by mending and later intensifying her relationship with Will. However, that all comes to a halt when Carly and Teddy are kidnapped by the Grubarra and the loathsome Ornestore. Once again, Carly's life is turned upside down and she is forced to make unfathomable decisions. If Carly has any chance of killing Grubarra, she must join forces with an unlikely ally and engage in a perilous quest that could very well end in the destruction of everything she knows and loves.
