Kaylee had heard the saying God will never put on you more than you can bear, which to her is a big fat lie. It says he won't allow you to be tempted beyond your limits, but with temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Putting God on the back burner, Kaylee fell into a life of peer pressure that led her to alcohol, abuse and single parenthood. Why couldn't she just find love like the movies and live happily ever after? Her life seemed full of gloom, doom and despair. She was ready to give up all hope at love until Dillyn showed up. Although she laughed in his face when he told her he'd marry her one day, it didn't sway his decision to pursue Kaylee. Was he really the one for her? Surely not with being so much older.
