Theatrical without tipping into novelty, this tower carries its ghost platform and hanging spider with a straight face. Underneath the styling sits an ordinary good idea: an enclosed room, a bolstered lookout and a route between them that a cat can run at speed. It suits a room with some personality, and it holds up long after the season that inspired it.
