How I Defied the Odds
is the story of David M. James Sr.'s life, a young man who follows two friends into the military not really wanting to join and winds up making it a career. David M. James Sr. grew up during the seventies, when the race riots were going on in New York and the city was a troubled place to be growing up in, with very limited opportunities for young African-American males.
But even with his limited opportunities David M. James Sr. prevailed, living a life some can only dream of. His story will inspire you and show you that by putting your faith in God, you can reach your full potential.
About the Author
Throughout his career in the military, David M. James Sr. has been involved with counseling young men and women to help them reach their goals, and it still continues now that he is retired. He also loves running and working out with weights at the gym.
