This is the second book in the series called Howard the Owl. In this book Howard teaches the birds all about their babies - how they will look like when they hatch; when they will get their full feathers; how they should be fed and kept warm; and a whole lot of vital information. This book, like the first one, The Kingdom of the Birds, is aimed at providing information to young children and create an awareness of the birds in their area. The aim is to create an interest in birds and to care for them. Hopefully these books will aspire young children to become dedicated birders. These books can be read to small children of a young age and also be read by bigger children on their own. Both children and adults will enjoy these stories.
