Have you ever wondered how a political figure of a huge metropolitan city like Atlanta, Georgia may deal with adversity while continuing to move the city forward? How will serving juveniles and representing them help her to find the solution to gain the gift of a family? After losing her father's fame and money, will she be able to pursue her educational goals and life aspirations? This story shows how adversity shows up in the path of a girl at a young age, yet she continues to live her dreams while serving others locally and becoming a national voice during the Black Lives Matter Movement as she serves as the 60th mayor, COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, hits which causes the city to face different hardships and decisions that no mayor has had to imagine or experienced. As a native, she stands firm that Atlanta is her home and vows that it will uphold its legacy of compassion and tolerance. As part of her equity platform, she created the first Director of LGBTQ Affairs position as well as appointed an LGBTQ Advisory Board while serving "One Atlanta."
