She must search far and wide as there aren't enough suitable people in their database to make up for their losses. One of the first ones she finds is a local therapist, Susan Burns, but Tess is not the only one aware of her existence, and the race is on to get to Sue first and convince her to join the Apara. This is not Sue's first time crossing paths with the Apara, though she was unaware. Now, a connection from her past will be tasked with her protection and eventually transformation, should she consent.
