They have to travel the dangerous rapids of the River Danube to reach the court of Empress Theresa, the last Holy Roman Empress. In the royal court there is intrigue to defeat and in the gypsy camp, there is danger for John. But more dangerous are the Guardians of the Moonhenge of the Black Forest. Unless Sybil can come up with a plan, they will not let them travel home.
