There is nothing easy about writing a book, nor being a Christian! People often think being a Christian means you do everything right, or Christians think they are better than others, that a Christian’s faith is never tested - and that is so far from the truth! This book reminded me with gentle tugs of my heart that people are human, and we all have a choice in life as we go through this journey. It’s just a matter of trusting God during the journey. We can choose how we treat ourselves, how we treat others, and how we let others treat us. We can choose how we process, internalize and cause happiness and pain to ourselves and to others. And we can choose what our purpose is and what our purpose is going to be. Now that does not mean we plan, and God just gives. Maybe God watches and laughs if we try. In fact, just the thought that this book was supposed to be finished 2 years ago is humorous. But simply put everything happened on God’s time even if we do not know the reason. The authors have endured pain and still finding their purpose with each new day they are blessed to have. And with much prayer, thankfulness, and guidance they continue to get through their journeys – and won’t complain! So, as you take the time to read what their hearts and minds decided to share – judge not yet ye be judged. Simply read for enjoyment, laugh because who would have thought, and discover their Journey, their Pain, and their Purpose! With much love through this process – It is done! Yolanda Malone-Bates
