Joust for the NES is a home adaptation of the classic 1982 arcade game developed by Williams Electronics. The NES version, released in 1987–1988 and developed by HAL Laboratory, brings the iconic single‑screen action to Nintendo’s 8‑bit console. You play as a knight riding a flying ostrich (or a stork in two‑player mode), battling enemy knights mounted on buzzards. Using momentum, timing, and altitude control, you must defeat waves of enemies across floating platforms while avoiding lava pits and hazards.
