Arielle is a thirteen-year old girl whose parents had to move to Brazil for a year and they decided to not take her with them, as she needed to continue her studies in France. They enroll her in Saint-Charles, a luxurious boarding school for young girls. Arielle feels abandoned but she is fascinated by the luxury and beauty of the place, as well as by her aristocratic companions.
