When anyone visited MaMa June, she would say, "Just One More Thing Before You Go..." She would hand out advice, newspaper and/or magazine articles, food or anything else she thought one might need. MaMa June would give half dollars to people to show her appreciation for what they had done for her including her doctors, nurses and gas station attendants who filled her car with gas back in the days when gas stations still had full service. "Reader's Digest" would have characterized MaMa June as a 'Most Mememorable Character'. MaMa June loved life to its fullest and her family even more. She would drive around Danville, Indiana in her bright red Saturn with one of her collection of hats on her head with a smile and a wave to all. MaMa June was born the year of the Great Depression, lived through World War II, married for 51 1/2 years, mother of three, survived a brain aneurysm, pacemaker and still had a zest for life!
