In the climactic conclusion of Shondra Williams story, she goes head to head with Harding and the board of Directors in an attempt to save some of the employees from being fired. However, luck and time is not on her side. She is also forced to wrestle with the decision that she is putting her own career on the line by sticking up for the LGBTQ employees of Serebi Diagnostics Inc. Though in love with Shondra, Pullum is unwilling to commit to Shondra. Her reason? She can't be with a person who is still lying to herself. Her demand, though simple, is almost impossible for Shondra to compromise. The only way to receive Pullum's love is to be truthful to the entire world.
